The Quaker Nonprofit Changing Lives in Bolivia’s Prisons

Inside Bolivia’s prisons, non-violence workshops help inmates cope with the challenges of incarceration and the root causes of conflict. Born from Quaker principles, the Alternatives to Violence Project’s growing team in the country has won the support of Bolivia’s government while impacting the lives of thousands. Now, AVP is taking the model to classrooms, where teachers and facilitators instill peaceful conflict resolution principles in young people, and inspire them to reach high and take charge of their futures.
